Blog Post 4

         One standard that I noticed has something to do along the lines where the student would have to identify the correct technology to achieve or finish a project. I feel pretty prepared to implement this standard in my class one way or another as I would like to have projects done through the year in my class and different types of technology may be useful and making a project better or stand out compared to the rest. Also with how the world is ever changing technology understanding is becoming more and more vital to secure jobs and teaching students the basic principles and understandings can open many more opportunities for them for jobs down the road. I would also never ask students to use a type of technology that I do not know how to use thats why I would feel comfortable to include this standard in my class.

        I picked a standard in the social studies section for 9-12th grade because I want to teach U.S History and they offer a ton of options for teachers to select from that could help with lesson planning and creating lectures and assignments just for one single standard. One feature that I think will be helpful is how they have tutorials for each standard which for starting out teachers can be super helpful as this can aid them in making sure that students truly understand and comprehend the standard that they need to succeed in the class. There are also lessons that the teacher can use and overall is a very useful website to all types of teachers. Cpalms is a very nice website for understanding the standards and making sure that they are implemented in the class the right way.

        The newsletter project helped me find ways to use as much space and still get the job done looking very professional and well done. I learned about the column feature and a lot of small trinkets that word has to offer such as shapes and images that if used properly can make the news letter look better. One thing that I could work on os making my margins normal and not so narrow to try and crunch more information in them and also working around to add page numbers and a header on the letter. After this assignment I can make my own types of newsletters for any job that I can be proud of and people can respect.

      One thing that I hope to learn in this class is how to better use technology to make my classroom a better learning space when I become a teacher. With the landscape of how technology is used in class's today it would be better to get ahead of the curve and find a way to make it useful in a class.       Blogging in my opinion has been a very fun and new way to express what I have learned in this class in a way that I can share with everyone. One of my favorite parts of the blog has been the ability to share what I have learned and understood from this class weather that be applying or talking about an assignment that we went over in class. Something that has made blogging tough is that some ideas it is harder to blog about and it can seem kind of run rather than me truly sharing something that would be meaningful. Overall Blogging is something that I have enjoyed very much with this class and would like to find a way that maybe I could use it in my classroom when I start teaching down the road.     Generative Ai was actually very useful when I asked it to help me make a lesson plan.       There were a lot of new skills that I learned while working on assignment 5 that truly allowed me to learn more about how powerpoint works and ways that when I become a teacher I can make my class a lot more interactive. Some new features that I learned or used for the first time was the button feature as most power points I made before this where more informative so I would click and explain on the slide, I also learned more on how to use animations and adding sounds so that the powerpoint is more interactive. One thing that I did not like about the assignment was how for each slide I had to go in and direct them to each button I wish there was a quicker way to go about that.
