Copyright and fair use are two very serious topics that can create a lot of issues and can get people in a lot of legal trouble that they don't know they can get into. Wanting to be a U.S history teacher a lot of primary sources and articles are mostly public domain as they created and shaped America and the way that it is today but there is a lot of other issues because say I see a cool lesson plan or a funny SNL skit that uses a historical situation if I don't credit it the right way it can get me in trouble. Most schools and districts have policy's in place if copyright is caught and normally it can start as a warning but then in tcan start to ramp up to fail the assignment to even expulsion from the school. I think now more than ever it is easy to combat copyright issues and students know the consequence's.
With tech there are a lot of positives when it comes to teaching the classroom and can make lesson planning for the teacher a lot more simple, but with that it can create issues with this new wave of tech comes a whole new wave of academic dishonesty. Many students believe since the teacher is not there or there are ways to bypass certain things they can cheat, which is true but if you don't get caught the only person who is really losing is the student because they are cheating them selves. There are also plenty of systems in place for teachers to catch cheating such as like scanners that scan for ai and other tools that can see of they left tab during a test. As technology advances there is more for teachers to catch cheating but as it improves the more and more kids find ways around this.
