     Teacher pages on school websites can be very helpful as they can be a way for the teacher to relay information to students and parents in a quick manner. Most of the information that can be seen publicly is how to get into contact with the teacher and maybe books and novels or things that would be useful to be successful in the class. I think that teacher websites are a good way to keep everyone in the loop and parents a way to stay involved. They can also be helpful because students can go to them and that can give them a resource if they need help with anything.https://www.leonschools.net/Page/10301

    I think that I will use technology like canvas and learning how to build a website everyday when in class as it can make my life easier when trying to do work but it can also make students and parents lives easier as technology is quick. I will use tools like canvas for grading and putting work but will use websites like Word, and even padlet when I want students to learn and post things that they are getting done in the class. Technology will be something that does not make my class more challenging but elevates the way I teach. That is how I hope to use technology in my class and hope to better my class.

    My time doing group work for assignment 2 was very interesting as I learned what working wit another group is like but also how to work canvas to make something great. I liked all the options that the canvas group tool gave and allowed for making your canvas page very diverse. One thing that I did not like was it could be complicated to try and work out that canvas page not knowing what some things did could be very confusing. Overall I enjoyed the activity and learned a lot.

      There were a lot of new skills that I learned while working on assignment 5 that truly allowed me to learn more about how powerpoint works and ways that when I become a teacher I can make my class a lot more interactive. Some new features that I learned or used for the first time was the button feature as most power points I made before this where more informative so I would click and explain on the slide, I also learned more on how to use animations and adding sounds so that the powerpoint is more interactive. One thing that I did not like about the assignment was how for each slide I had to go in and direct them to each button I wish there was a quicker way to go about that.       Distance learning was something that was very pivotal for me during my education in middle school and high school as covid started at the end of my 8th grade year and they had to move everything to zoom and online learning. My freshman year I spent the whole year online as we were waiting for covid conditions to get better. This made me very familiar with online resources and how to do work on a laptop as that was my means of school for a year and a half. I think distance learning can be useful if really needed but at the end of the day face to face is perfect because I think students need the social interaction that schools offer.     OER's can be very useful and helpful as they give teachers a resource as they are free and can be distributed to the class how ever the teacher see's fit to get the class ready for success.       Copyright and fair use are two very serious topics that can create a lot of issues and can get people in a lot of legal trouble that they don't know they can get into. Wanting to be a U.S history teacher a lot of primary sources and articles are mostly public domain as they created and shaped America and the way that it is today but there is a lot of other issues because say I see a cool lesson plan or a funny SNL skit that uses a historical situation if I don't credit it the right way it can get me in trouble. Most schools and districts have policy's in place if copyright is caught and normally it can start as a warning but then in tcan start to ramp up to fail the assignment to even expulsion from the school.
