     Distance learning was something that was very pivotal for me during my education in middle school and high school as covid started at the end of my 8th grade year and they had to move everything to zoom and online learning. My freshman year I spent the whole year online as we were waiting for covid conditions to get better. This made me very familiar with online resources and how to do work on a laptop as that was my means of school for a year and a half. I think distance learning can be useful if really needed but at the end of the day face to face is perfect because I think students need the social interaction that schools offer.

    OER's can be very useful and helpful as they give teachers a resource as they are free and can be distributed to the class how ever the teacher see's fit to get the class ready for success. OER is a online resource a teacher can find and since they are open to anyone the teacher gets of for free and makes making lessons a lot easier. One website that I found was OER commons and it has links and access to all OER's for all types of teachers. This can be a very useful way for teachers to gain resources so that they can teach there class. https://oercommons.org/

    Assignment 4 was a very interesting assignment and I learned a lot about features on power point and as a teacher if I ever have to record and post a lecture I now know how to and the means of doing it as well. I have always been good with powerpoint and its features but this let me learn some new ones for sure and will make my power points a lot stronger in the future. Some negatives is though the mic speaker function was fine on my laptop on some older ones it could create issues and audio quality can vary. Overall this assignment was very useful and is something that I hope to implement in my own classroom.

      There were a lot of new skills that I learned while working on assignment 5 that truly allowed me to learn more about how powerpoint works and ways that when I become a teacher I can make my class a lot more interactive. Some new features that I learned or used for the first time was the button feature as most power points I made before this where more informative so I would click and explain on the slide, I also learned more on how to use animations and adding sounds so that the powerpoint is more interactive. One thing that I did not like about the assignment was how for each slide I had to go in and direct them to each button I wish there was a quicker way to go about that.       Copyright and fair use are two very serious topics that can create a lot of issues and can get people in a lot of legal trouble that they don't know they can get into. Wanting to be a U.S history teacher a lot of primary sources and articles are mostly public domain as they created and shaped America and the way that it is today but there is a lot of other issues because say I see a cool lesson plan or a funny SNL skit that uses a historical situation if I don't credit it the right way it can get me in trouble. Most schools and districts have policy's in place if copyright is caught and normally it can start as a warning but then in tcan start to ramp up to fail the assignment to even expulsion from the school.
